Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

• Can I meet my sitter before they babysit for my children?
  There is no interview process or meeting prior to the assigned time. Most of our staff are college students and if they had met you prior to their job, they may have had to cancel due to a unexpected project, car problems, or illness. We know our staff well and are able to fit your family needs usually by talking with you and learning about your family from our authorization that we ask you to fill out

• Can I request a specific sitter?
  Yes, you can always request a specific sitter, however she may not be available for you for your specific request - this time. If the sitter is, they usually look forward to returning to a family that they have worked with in the past.

• What if one of my children is sick?
  Not all of our sitters will watch sick children, so please let us know that you child is ill and we will find a sitter that will come to your home for the day.

• Are you available to babysit on holidays?
  Yes, we have sitters who are willing to spend a holiday with your family. The sitter's rate for the holiday is $20/hour. Our holidays are: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve.

• Can you tell me about my sitter?
  We are always glad to tell you about your sitter and our reasons for placing that particular sitter with your family. We will call to confirm with you after we have assigned a sitter for you and we will also send the sitter's profile via email so that you can learn a little more about them before they arrive.

• Will I hear from my sitter before they come to my house?
  Yes, we ask our sitters to call the day before they come to your home. This way you can confirm driving directions and any instructions that they need to be aware of for their time taking care of your children. The office will place a confirmation call to the sitter the night before your requested job to remind them of their commitment to y.

• If I have a last minute emergency, can I get a sitter right away?
  We will do our best to have a sitter at your home as soon as possible. Typically we need a two hour window.

• Do you ever run out of sitters?
  Ocassionally there will be a specific day that many of our families will be requesting a sitter (for example: New Year's Eve & Valentines Day). Please call as early as possible to book your favorite sitter. We do have 95% fill rate - so you can count on us!

 

We are accessible: Our office is open 6 days a week in hopes of accommodating the bulk of your requests, but we know that things pop up. We have an after hours priority line for you to access Nannies As Needed after regular business hours for you to get an immediate response.

Sitters are available anytime: We have a variety of sitters with a variety of availability. Some of our assignments have started as early as 5:00 AM and many have gone into the wee hours of the morning. We are available for overnights and we will also travel with you!
